They may have come in to arrange vehicle paperwork or review their accounts. Now they need to understand what the court requires and how to prepare their defence.

- Arrange the meeting. Online, at the lawyer’s office or at your firm, by appointment and subject to availability. Meetings on your premises require a private space.
- Assess the instruction. María checks conflicts of interest, reviews the necessary documents and explains the scope and fees before engagement.
- Keep each professional’s role clear. María provides independent legal advice; your firm maintains its usual client relationship.
A clear professional agreement
The scope, coordination and terms of the partnership are set out in a prior agreement. Clients freely choose their lawyer and engage legal services directly, with prior information about fees.
A partnership does not grant automatic access to client files, documents or discussions. For the initial enquiry, please do not send client information or records.
